This Privacy Policy is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation — GDPR) and Ley Orgánica 3/2018, de 5 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos Personales y garantía de los derechos digitales (LOPDGDD).

What Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you interact with the Website, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

• Contact information: name, email address, telephone number, organisation, and job title, when you submit a contact form, register on the hub platform, or subscribe to our newsletter.
• Professional information: area of expertise, services offered, and institutional affiliation, when you register as a service provider on the hub platform.
• Browsing data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, access times, and referral URLs, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookies Policy below).
• Event registration data: name, email, organisation, and dietary or accessibility requirements, when you register for MicroNanoSpain events or training programmes.

Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing

Data Retention

We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, and in any event for the duration required by applicable legal obligations. Specifically:

• Contact form enquiries: retained for the time necessary to handle the request, plus any additional period required by law.
• Hub platform registrations: retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
• Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
• Event and training data: retained for the duration of the project reporting obligations under the Grant Agreement (up to 5 years after the final payment).

Data Recipients

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties except where necessary for the provision of services (e.g. platform hosting, event management tools), where required by law, or where shared within the MicroNanoSpain consortium partners for the purposes described above.

Where we engage service providers (data processors), we ensure appropriate contractual safeguards are in place in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

International Transfers

As a general rule, your personal data will be processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). If any transfer outside the EEA is necessary (e.g. due to the use of certain technology providers), we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are applied, such as Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access (Art. 15): to obtain confirmation of whether your personal data is being processed and to access it.
• Right to rectification (Art. 16): to request the correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to erasure (Art. 17): to request the deletion of your personal data, where applicable.

• Right to data portability (Art. 20): to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
• Right to object (Art. 21): to object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing purposes.
• Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
